Position Summary

Purpose of the job:

To establish, improve, manage and maintain the GIS and data system and providing an effective
service ensuring that all information is captured and provided correctly and timeously.

Required outputs: Functional

-Capture and linking of information to ensure the effective functioning of the GIS
-Safeguarding and registration of rights
-Providing accurate reports
-Referencing and management of plans and data
-Provision of documents and assistance to Land and Rights Officers
-Knowledge of SQL database and Linking of databases

General:

-Continuous updating and expansion of database
-Administration and reporting
-General assistance with regard to the management of the database, reports and activities related
to the safeguarding of rights
-Conduct investigations into the GIS requirements of the Department 
Job Requirements
Job specification:

Qualifications and expertise required (Must):

-A diploma/certificate qualification in GIS and/or Administration
-Well skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

Specific experience required:

5 years experience in:
-Data capturing and maintenance
-GIS environment
-Administration
-Database applications
