Purpose of the job:
To manage and lead planning teams in execution of the management work management process and to oversee the development of own team members.
Job specification

Specific experience and expertise required
-Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate/inspire individuals and teams
-Ensure that effective management and systems are in place and conformed to
-Obtain, assign, manage and optimise human and capital resources to execute departmental objectives and initiatives

Required outputs: Functional
-Responsible for the development and optimisation of improvement / optimisation programs
-Support, involvement and monitoring of scoping, planning and scheduling of shutdowns
-Support, involvement and monitoring of scoping, planning and scheduling of activities for maintenance, refurbishment and replacement of equipment etc
-Monitoring and continuous improvement of data integrity of relevant information data bases
-Ensure operational planning and budgeting (financial control)
-Ensure team’s performance targets are met and KPIs measured. Provide coaching and assess training needs.
-Compliance with SLCs and ensuring customer requirements are met
-Ensure compliance to safety standards
-HR development
-Manage planners and assistants

General
-Manage and lead planners
-Do benchmarking and presentations with regards to Planning Process best practices
 
Job Requirements
Qualifications required (Must)
-Diploma (T3/S4) Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial – Must
-B Tech - Wish


Experience:
-Minimum 2 years planning or related experience
-Minimum supervisory experience - wish
-Managing in a planning environment and/or maintenance would be an advantage
